Demantoide Servizi S.R.L., a company operating in the energy sector, is looking for a Junior Electrical Field Service Engineer – BESS to join its team.

The position is also open to recent technical high school and university graduates, as well as candidates with no previous work experience who are interested in electrical engineering and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Main responsibilities

Through structured training and guidance from experienced technicians, the successful candidate will gradually become involved in the following activities:

• Supporting the installation, inspection and commissioning of BESS;

• Assisting with preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems and equipment;

• Performing basic checks, measurements and inspections in accordance with the procedures and instructions provided;

• Assisting with fault diagnosis and technical troubleshooting;

• Completing checklists, service reports and technical documentation;

• Following operating procedures and health and safety requirements.

Candidate requirements

• Technical high school diploma in electrical engineering, electrotechnics, electronics, mechatronics or a related field, or an equivalent relevant qualification;

• Basic knowledge of electrical principles and an interest in hands-on fieldwork;

• Willingness to learn and participate in a structured training programme;

• Technical curiosity, attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving;

• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions and procedures;

• Fluency in Italian;

• Basic knowledge of English and willingness to improve it for technical communication and reading manuals;

• Category B driving licence and willingness to travel for work.

No previous work experience or specific BESS experience is required.

Preferred qualifications

• Basic ability to read electrical diagrams;

• Familiarity with electrical measuring instruments and tools;

• Internships, traineeships or short-term experience in electrical maintenance, photovoltaic systems, electrical installations or technical service;

• Knowledge of Chinese.
